Measuring for Boots

1) Measure the calf in centimeters over riding breeches and the socks normally worn. The tape should be flat against the widest part of the calf, and you should be able to gently slide it up and down over the widest part.

2) Height measurement should be taken while sitting with the feet flat on the floor. Place a string or shoelace around the leg as high as possible in the bend of the knee, and hold it, or tie it so it is horizontal. Measure from this height to the floor to get your 'Control Height'.
This is the bottom left number on the size charts.

Königs' Measurements

Notes on Königs Sizes and Measurements
For Ladies - Canadian foot size is the German size plus 2.5 - i.e., a German 6 is a Canadian 8.5

For Men - Canadian foot size is the German size plus 1.5 - i.e., a German 8 is a Canadian 9.5

The final height is the measurement of the boot from the top of the heel on the outside to the top of the Spanish cuff. (Your (G) 'Control Height' measurement above, plus the Spanish Top).

Note that Dressage Boots have a plastic stiffener up the back and can only drop 2 centimeters.
Field Boots will drop about 4 centimeters.
